An evening of spoken word with Mayda del Valle, the youngest person and the first Latina to win the individual title at the National Poetry Slam, the world series of spoken word. A cast member of Def Poetry Jam on HBO and Broadway, del Valle was also named by O Magazine as one of 20 women for the first ever “O Power List.” In May of 2009 del Valle was invited to perform at the White House.
