UN CUERPO PARTIDO: ESQUIRLAS DE TIEMPO PRESENTE
By Secos y Mojados Collective: Victor Cartagena, Violeta Luna, David Molina, Antigone Trimis, and Roberto Varea
September 23—25, 2011
This is the second performance of the “Border (TRIP)tych” by San Francisco-based collective Secos y Mojados. The project is a visual narrative focused on a migrant’s journey as she leaves her home in Latin America and arrives in the United States searching for a better life. A Body Parted: Shrapnel of Present Time / Esquirlas de Tiempo Presente takes a multi-layered approach to immigration and border crossing.
