Join us for a fun introduction to Bolivian Culture and Folklore by dancer, ✨Jackie Gumucio✨, who will share general facts about Bolivia, before getting into the fun part………………DANCING!!⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We’ll be learning some basic steps of “Caporales”, a traditional dance originated in La Paz – Bolivia. It is now one of the most popular dances in the country and, in June of 2011, through a Supreme Decree, Caporales was declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Bolivia.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Jacqueline Gumucio has been performing and teaching Bolivian Dance Folklore for over 25 years. She’s very proud of her heritage and has joined forces with other choreographers, teachers, and dance groups numerous times to promote and share her culture.

Baruch will discuss the creation of the We Can Be Heroes project, talk about his collaborators, and read some excerpts from the script, that is soon to be transformed into a graphic novel! Find out who his favorite Latino superheroes are, and chat about queer superheroes. Baruch will also perform some comedy from his solo show "Love in the Time of Pinatas." ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
