This popular, annual event culminates in a high energy evening with food, drinks, entertainment and friendly bidding. Here you will find art by Bay Area favorites as well as artists with national and international reputations. The work ranges from painting to drawing to photography to sculpture and jewelry. Highlights of this year’s exhibition are Pilar Agüero-Esparza, Victor Cartagena, Melanie Cervantes, Adrian Esparza; Bay Area favorites Aaron De La Cruz, Favianna Rodriguez, Jessica Sabogal; and notable veterans of Chicana/o art Ester Hernandez, Linda Vallejo, and Gronk. Music provided by Latin Grammy Nominee Gabriel Navia.

Artwork designated as Buy it Now! can be purchased before the day of the Auction.
Lotería
Lotería purchasers will select a Lotería card with a number. This number provides the order in which the buyer will make a Lotería selection.
Live Auction
The Live Auction will begin at 7pm and will continue uninterrupted until all the pieces have been auctioned.
Proxy Bid
If you cannot attend the live auction on May 13, 2017, you may place a bid and we will have a proxy bidder available to bid on your behalf during the live auction. The fee for the proxy bidder is $30 (no sales tax).
All successful bidders will be notified by MACLA staff for a one week payment window. All payments must be made in full and may be paid with cash, check, Visa or Mastercard.
All works sold are subject to California state sales tax. The “purchase price” is the “bid + “sales tax.” All sales are final and there will be no exchanges or refunds.

The auction welcomes both experienced and first-time collectors. Auction proceeds support MACLA’s programs in the visual arts, performing & literary arts, youth arts education; and, community development through the arts, which reach over 32,000 people annually.
