This popular, annual event culminates in a high energy evening with food, drinks, entertainment and friendly bidding. Here you will find art by Bay Area favorites as well as artists with national and international reputations. The work ranges from painting to drawing to photography to sculpture and jewelry. Highlights of this year’s exhibition are Pilar Agüero-EsparzaMelanie CervantesAdrian Esparza; Bay Area favorites Aaron De La CruzSam Rodriguez, and Jessica Sabogal; and notable veterans of Chicana/o art GronkLinda Vallejo and Gilbert “Magu” Luján.

Artwork designated as Buy it Now! can be purchased before the day of the Auction.

Lotería

Lotería purchasers will select a Lotería card with a number. This number provides the order in which the buyer will make a Lotería selection.

Live Auction

The Live Auction will begin at 7pm and will continue uninterrupted until all the pieces have been auctioned.

Proxy Bid

If you cannot attend the live auction on May 19, 2018, you may place a bid and we will have a proxy bidder available to bid on your behalf during the live auction. The fee for the proxy bidder is $30 (no sales tax).

All successful bidders will be notified by MACLA staff for a one week payment window. All payments must be made in full and may be paid with cash, check, Visa or Mastercard.

All works sold are subject to California state sales tax. The “purchase price” is the “bid + “sales tax.” All sales are final and there will be no exchanges or refunds.

MACLA Southwest Airlines Raffle

Enter our raffle for a chance to win two Southwest Airlines round-trip tickets to anywhere Southwest flys (domestic and international). Two drawings the night of the auction. Ticket holders need not be present to win. Drawing will be held May 19, 2018. All proceeds benefit MACLA and its programs. Terms and conditions apply. The auction welcomes both experienced and first-time collectors. Auction proceeds support MACLA’s programs, which reach over 35,000 people annually.
